No Reservations

I have fallen in love with Anthony Bourdain.

His global foodie show, No Reservations, on the Travel Channel, sits at 6pm just before Sex and the City at 7pm. It's where I like to vegetate, undisturbed, until I've had my fill of people that love Manhattan as much as I do.

Tony Bourdain is an award winning chef and best selling author that does the elitist culinary art in a Ramones T-shirt with a cigarette hanging out of his mouth. He describes his recent cookbook, Anthony Bourdain's Les Halles Cookbook (2004), as "Julia Child meets Full Metal Jacket."

Virtually traveling with this guy as he samples food and culture from around the world is fascinating and fun. This guy will try any food and brings you along in a way that makes you feel like you are on the road "with the band". He puts every other Travel Channel traveler and foodie to shame. He makes it gritty and real, just the way I like it.

He is my dream guy. Rock and Roll cool, LOVES Manhattan more than any other place in the world, and cooks to boot. Oh yeah, that's what I'm talking about. Give me a NYC chef with some edge, and I'll be picking out the china patterns. heh. right.

I'm taking Max and Donna to the zoo today. As soon as I figure out why the brake light on my car is lit ALREADY. geez. Then I'm making dinner for Eboni this evening. Yeah, you heard me right, I'm making dinner. I have a mix for Pad Thai that I can doctor up to my own individual style and I think I'm going to be making some sweet sticky rice with mango for dessert. Doesn't that sound good? Oh yes it does.
